Question: What are the best rated all-inclusive Carribean resorts?
We were thinking about Sandals and some others, but are finding it hard to find good reviews for the Carribean resorts!!! Please help!!

Several years ago, I went to the Club Med in Columbus Isle. (Bahamas) I had never been to a Club Med before, but most of the people I met were really into the Club Med thing. I repeatedly heard that this one was their absolute favorite! (we had a great time) It was geared more to families or couples as it was pretty low-key, but that made for a really relaxing vacation! The rooms were decorated well and VERY CLEAN!!! I think I enjoyed the food a little too much!!!!:)
Question: Can you go visit other all-inclusive resorts in Mexico if you have friends staying there?
I’m going on spring break in Mexico to playa del carmen and staying at the Riu Tequila hotel. I have a bunch of friends staying at the Sandos Caracol Resort. I’m wondering if I’m able to go visit them and hang out with them at their hotel during the day since you’re suppoes to have wristbands and everything? Does anyone know if thats generally okay with those hotels down there? Or those two hotels specifically?

You can visit them at the resort but you will need a day pass that you can buy at the front desk 40-90 dollars. They will not let you in the resort without the wristband because of the allinclusive.

Besides Haiti, DR has the lowest income in the Caribbean. So naturally wages, property, and taxes are lower than most other places.
Question: Cheap all-inclusive resorts with private pool or hot tub?
I’ve been researching and wanted to get opinions on inexpensive all-inclusive resorts with some nice romantic details like private pools or hot tubs. I’m NOT interested in a Sandals resort OR anything in Jamaica.
Looking for something that won’t break the bank, but will be a nice getaway. $ 500-600 per night is okay, but if it’s all inclusive. Thanks!

Try Punta Cana or Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. You can get some excellent 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts for less than $ 300 per person per night. Check out http://dominicanrepublichotelsandresorts.com for some great deals.

We like to stay within 30 miles from the airport, and definately in the Hotel District. We also need a really nice resort with great service and food and a view of the Carribean, but with activities suitable for 2 teenage boys.

The only real accommodation near the surfing is in Bathsheba but it will not be all-inclusive. This site offers some places so check it out.

I am planning a trip somewhere in January 2008 for a group (15+ people) college friends. We are looking to spend under $ 1000 each (including airfare, hotel, and transportation) and would like to stay in an all-inclusive resort. That’s $ 1000 total but between 15+ people that’s a lot of money.

Is that 1000 dollars each total or per day? If it’s total, how many days do you plan to stay? Mexico has many all-inclusive resorts and the prices vary so this information is vital for useful tips.

We have really enjoyed the Allegro Resort in Cozumel with our son. Lots of activities & food choices in the resort. Do the all-inclusive package. We went twice, in May & October, while everyone else was home with their kids in school, so the resort was not crowded, and it was nice & quiet.
